Course Description

The Teen Fundamentals Workshop is a five-day program introducing and fine tuning the actor’s understanding of the ART of ACTING.

Mornings: Scene Study and Improv  – We will work on scene study to hone the skills of connecting with a scene partner and creating a character, and improv to get the creative juices flowing, get out of our heads and into our bodies so we can create art in a non-judgmental, safe and fun space!

Afternoons:  On Camera and Auditions. This part of the spring workshop will get you whipped into audition and on-camera shape! It will warm up those improv muscles, hone in on the skills you need to up your audition game, and work on telling the story of a scene on camera. We will use current film and television materials to help you understand the tone and structure that different projects need, and watch our taped work to explore what works and what doesn’t work for eye lines, body language and voice specific to on camera acting.

This is a five (5) day IN-PERSON workshop held at the Union Office.
