Course Description
This course is an introduction to body awareness, control, coordination, and rhythm, using a wide range of beginner dance/movement styles and techniques.
The aim of Dance and Movement for Performers is to free and strengthen the body, enhance the imagination, and enable performers with the ability to create a character’s physical life and provide a range of specialist skills to have at their disposal.
Through this workshop series, Gustavo’s goal is to provide performers with valuable skills that they can use as part of their preparation, education, and growth in the fields of Theater, TV, and Film.

Applicants will be entered into a lottery, and names will be drawn in random order.
We will contact you by 4:30 PM on August 16 to confirm if you have a spot in the class or are on the waitlist.
Please note:
In the event that the instructor cannot teach due to illness or a work booking, the class will either be postponed to a later date or taught by a qualified substitute instructor.
Classes are held offsite with no UBCP/ACTRA staff participation. Staff may not be available or able to assist during the workshop should any unforeseen technical issues arise.
