When asked what your script or idea is about, I’ll bet that you don’t tell them the theme (what it’s really “about”); instead, you drill down into the plot (which is what happens “on-screen”).

That classic rookie move is where the disconnect usually happens. Before you know it, you’re twenty minutes in and you have lost the person you’re pitching to 15 minutes ago.

Gary Jones is a Vancouver-based writer/actor/producer who’s successfully pitched ideas since the mid-90s and who’s figured out how to create a killer two-minute “elevator pitch.”

Gary’s method works and he’ll share it with you in this fun and enlightening workshop, because if you don’t understand the mistakes you’re making, you’ll be trapped forever in a cycle of disinterest and rejection. You believe you have a great idea. Gary will help you to pitch it right so that everybody else believes you have a great idea.

In this three-day intensive workshop participants will discuss their ideas, get valuable and supportive feedback, have a day off to re-work the idea, and spend the last day perfecting a two-minute elevator pitch. You will leave with a graphic one-pager in hand and a confident swagger in your step. Most importantly, you’ll learn how to get in and out in two minutes and hear those magic words: “Tell me more.”
