In recognition of global celebrations on International Women’s Day, UBCP/ACTRA will honour a woman, or a non-binary individual who exemplifies the highest standard of service to their union, or the film industry and causes of social justice.
*Note: The terms woman/women refer to all women of diverse and varied gender identities and expressions. The term non-binary refers to all individuals whose gender does not fit or does not solely fit, within the gender binary of male and female.

Celebrating Enid-Raye Adams

Bio
Enid-Raye Adams is a proud Canadian and an award winning actor. She has appeared in productions spanning three decades for CBC, CTV, Global, Paramount, Netflix, Amblin Entertainment, Hallmark, CW, Sci-Fi, A&E, CBS, Warner Brothers, Universal, Disney and more.
Enid-Raye is a teacher, mentor and advocate. She served as a Director on the UBCP/ACTRA Executive Board for six years, leading equity seeking files. She championed key initiatives, including the Member Addiction Memorial Fund which helps Members and their dependents pay for addiction treatment. She lobbied the provincial government in areas of Mental Health, Acting School Protocols to protect vulnerable students, Gender Equality and Survivor Awareness. She is currently working with the ACTRA National Women’s Committee on an initiative to address men’s violence against women.
Enid-Raye is a breast cancer survivor and is pleased to say she is 52 and a half years old. She lives with her beautiful husband, Bryce, her incredible sons, Zach and Max – and Kazansky Dan, the best dog in the history of the world.

WISH Drop-In Center Donation Drive!
UBCP/ACTRA Women’s Committee is partnering with WISH to help them with a donation drive as part of International Women’s Day.
Your union will have a drop-off box for donations located at our office from February 23 to March 6. Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated.
Donations of clean, new or gently used items are greatly appreciated! Especially clothing, shoes, makeup, toiletries, and wigs. Check out their “wish list” for the items needed most right now.
Past Recipients
Nominations are made by UBCP/ACTRA Full members based on the following criteria:
- The nominated person must be a living, Full member in good standing of UBCP/ACTRA.
If you know of someone who you believe meets the requirements for this honour, please nominate them.
If you nominated someone last year who wasn’t selected, please feel free to resubmit with any updates.
The Women’s Committee will review the nominations, and make a recommendation to the E-Board. The deadline for nominations is Monday, February 2nd, 2026.
Current sitting E-Board members are not eligible to be nominated for this award.
